I love my family. Of course I am referring to my wonderful husband and my two great kids, but I am also referring to my 4 siblings and my parents. We have always been close. Even when we were kids and beat each other up, we were close. We have celebrated every holiday together, and almost all birthdays. We all live near each other, except for my brother in the Army, whom we miss terribly, but talk to as often as possible. My Mom and Dad made sure that we valued each other, and laid the ground work for some great family traditions that we all cherish.
So, why am I telling you all of this. Well, I want people to know that about me. I am proud of my family. I am reflecting on this today, because over the weekend I got to spend some time with my middle brother. He is a pilot of a tow boat. So he is on the boat for a month, and then off for a month. We don’t get to see him too often, but when he has the chance, he is anxious to spend time with his nieces and nephews. I think this is AWESOME! And the kids do too. They can’t wait to see their “Uncle Johnny”. So he had just gotten off the boat that he had been on for 7 weeks, and took the time on Sunday to come into town, go to not one but two volleyball games, and then take all of the kids (6 of them) out for dinner, by himself! He rocks! So here are a few pictures from Sunday fun with Uncle John. Thanks John. They had a fantastic time! Kell
